By airplane
Skiathos island has its own airport (JSI) which caters to International charter flights as well as local flights.
From May until October there are regular charter flights from most major cities of Europe. Alternatively, there are daily flights from Athens to Skiathos by Olympic Air, duration 55 minutes.

By boat
The nearest major town on the mainland is Volos, halfway between Athens and Thessaloniki.
Volos port has ferry connection with Skiathos approximately 3 hours away by ferry or 1 ½ hours away by hydrofoil.
Athens is approximately 4 hours away by hydrofoil & bus, or 6 hours away if you have your own car and take the ferry. Hydrofoils and ferries go to Aghios Konstantinos Port, on the mainland, half way between Athens and Volos. Moreover there is ferry connection from Thessaloniki in the summer months.
